The Goodness of a 24 Hour Date
After having 4 kids, I realized that creating space for a date night was getting harder and harder.
So, to fight for time together, we decided to do this.
In the past years, we have made quick getaways a priority. But as we added #4 it seemed impossible to get away sans kiddos.
A few weeks ago my friend Heather (mom of 4) reminded me of the goodness of time away – even for just 24 hours. I so appreciate her encouragement. The encouragement that we CAN do it. We can prioritize time for romance, connection and investing in our marriage. And even thought it’s hard to make it happen with kids and babysitters and the busyness of life, it is so worth it.
